Allen Park, MI (My Sportsbook) - Detroit Lions quarterback Joey Harrington was released from the hospital Tuesday following a successful catheter ablation procedure. "For all practical circumstances, Joey is healed," said Dr. Claudio Schuger, director of clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Henry Ford Hospital. Schuger said Harrington will be able to resume workouts within 3-to-6 weeks. Harrington was taken to the hospital after suffering an abnormal heartbeat during Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Doctors said his heartbeat had returned to a normal rhythm before he was hospitalized. The rookie quarterback, who has had no previous heart troubles, will miss the final two contests of the year. Harrington, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2002 draft out of Oregon, had started 12 of the 14 games so far this season for the Lions. He completed 215-of-429 passes for 2,294 yards, with 12 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Mike McMahon, who took over for Harrington against Tampa Bay, will most likely be the starter for this Sunday's game versus Atlanta.
