Moscow, Russia (My Sportsbook) - After 20-plus years as president of the Football Union of Russia, Viacheslav Koloskov tendered his resignation on Thursday. The 63-year-old was scheduled to stay in office until 2008, but he asked the RFS committee members to consider electing a new president. The RSF executive committee is expected to grant Koloskov's wishes at a meeting on April 2, when it is also expected to elect a new leader. Koloskov has felt a lot of pressure as of late, large in part to numerous poor outings by the national team in international play. Koloskov is a member of both the UEFA and FIFA executive committees.
