=== Armas re-signs with Nationals === Washington, DC (My Sportsbook) - Tony Armas Jr., who was re-signed to a one- year, $2.26 million contract with the Washington Nationals, is recovering nicely from a shoulder injury he sustained last season. Armas, a 26-year-old righthander, avoided arbitration by agreeing to his contract, leaving Tomo Ohka as the lone arbitration-eligible National to remain unsigned. Last season, Armas made just 16 starts, going 2-4 with a 4.88 ERA. He has a career mark of 32-41 with a 4.21 ERA over six seasons. A torn labrum in Armas' right shoulder limited him to five starts in 2003 and another shoulder injury did him in again for 2004. However, he is nearly at full strength and figures to be the No. 2 man in Washington's rotation, behind Livan Hernandez. The Nationals are also reportedly going after Esteban Loaiza, who went a combined 10-7 with a 5.70 ERA for the White Sox and Yankees last season.
