Allen Park, MI (My Sportsbook) - Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Sherman Lewis is retiring from his post with the team. Head coach Steve Mariucci made the announcement during Monday's press conference, stating the move will be effective February 1. Lewis has spent 22 years coaching in the NFL and 37 years combined at the high school, college and professional level. He joined the Lions in 2002 after spending two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings in the same capacity. He has also coached in the NFL for Green Bay, San Francisco, while also spending 14 years at the collegiate level and his alma mater Michigan State.
