Cincinnati, OH (My Sportsbook) - Cincinnati starting quarterback Gino Guidugli expects to start despite a broken hand when the Bearcats play Marshall in next Thursday's Fort Worth Bowl. Guidugli, who broke his throwing hand when he slipped outside his home, had the cast removed and took nearly 30 throws in practice on Wednesday. The senior, who holds most of the school's passing records, already missed the team's regular-season finale against Louisville on November 27. The Bearcats (6-5) had won four straight games prior to his injury and during that streak Guidugli completed 71 percent of his passes for 1,022 yards with 12 touchdowns and no interceptions. Guidugli still isn't able to take snaps from center and is practicing from shotgun formations. He plans to try and get under center by Sunday but doesn't consider that a requirement to play in the bowl game against Marshall (6-5). He is just one touchdown pass away from tying the Bearcats' single-season record of 25, set by Greg Cook in 1968.
