Huntington, WV (My Sportsbook) - Marshall linebacker Dionte Wilson was suspended by the team on Tuesday and will not play in the Fort Worth Bowl. Wilson, who is ranked fourth on the team in tackles this season, was suspended for an unspecified violation of team rules. According to Thundering Herd head coach Bob Pruett, the senior linebacker will be replaced by sophomore Matt Couch. Couch has missed some practice time of late with a sore shoulder. Marshall (6-5) will play Cincinnati (6-5) on Dec. 23 at Amon Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. The Thundering Herd, who will be making their first appearance in the Fort Worth Bowl, have a 5-2 all-time record in bowl games, and will be making its seventh bowl appearance in the last eight seasons. |
