Eindhoven, the Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - PSV Eindhoven pushed its lead in the Eredivisie to five points after a 1-0 win Saturday over Willem II. AZ Alkmaar also moved into second place with a with a 3-0 win over NAC Breda. Feyenoord, which came into the day four points back of PSV and in second place, plays a difficult match Sunday against defending champion Ajax. PSV used a goal by Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink in the first half to continue its home dominance over Willem. Willem's last win in Eindhoven came back in the 1983-84 season. The win allowed PSV to remain unbeaten this season in Eredivisie play. They have now won 10 of their 12 league matches, and have done well in the Champions League competition as well. Substitute Tarik Sektioui helped Alkmaar to its victory with a late goal. NAC hung in the match and only trailed 1-0 on a goal from Martijn Meerdink. Sketioui, however, put the game out of reach with a strike in the 88th minute. An own goal by NAC in the closing seconds then finished off the scoring. Vitesse Arnhem and Twente Enschede also emerged victorious on the road in its matches on Saturday. Vitesse won 3-0 at Heerenveen and Twente cruised to a 2-0 victory at NEC Nijmegen.
