St. Joseph, MO (My Sportsbook) - The Kansas City Chiefs have signed safety Eric Berry, their first-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Though details of the contract were not disclosed, multiple reports have stated it is a six-year deal worth a maximum of $60 million, with $34 million guaranteed. The fifth overall pick in the draft, Berry won the 2009 Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back. The 6-foot, 211-pound Georgia native played three seasons at Tennessee, and was a unanimous All-American selection his last two years. He finished his illustrious collegiate career with 245 tackles, 14 interceptions, 31 passes defensed and 17 1/2 tackles for loss. He also returned three picks for touchdowns.
