The time for the 1 1/16 miles was 1:41.65. Sweet Catomine raced in mid-pack of the 12 horse field. Down the stretch she found racing room after being bumped between rivals. Jockey Corey Nakatani guided her through the field on the way to the win. Finishing second was Balleto and Runway Model was third. In the Gold was scratched earlier this week due to illness. Sweet Catomine is owned by Mr. & Mrs. Martin Wygod amd trained by Julio Canani. The $520,000 increases the filly's earnings $599,800. Sweet Catomine returned $6.60, $4.00 and $3.00. Balleto paid $4.80 and $3.40, and Runway Model paid $5.00 for show. |
