Buenos Aires, Argentina (My Sportsbook) - Racing Club coach Ubaldo Fillol resigned Tuesday after a losing streak and receiving death threats. Fillol, a former goalkeeper, won the World Cup with Argentina in 1978. He took over as Racing's boss at the beginning of the season and won his first three matches. But the team proceeded to lose six of its next seven matches and Fillol revealed he received death threats telling him to resign or he would die. "Fillol has come to an agreement with the directors and has presented his resignation as coach of Racing," said a statement on the club's website. "He'll go to the club tomorrow to say goodbye to the players." Racing sits in 15th place in the 20 team table.
