London, England (My Sportsbook) - British fighter Danny Williams, who knocked out former champion Mike Tyson as a huge underdog back in July, will get a shot at the WBC heavyweight title when he faces Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko on December 11 at Madison Square Garden. This will mark the first title defense for Klitschko since he took the crown from Corrie Sanders in April. Williams and Klitschko announced the fight after coming face-to-face for the first time Thursday at a press conference in Williams' hometown of London, England. Klitschko said he wanted to face Williams because of his impressive four-round knockout of Mike Tyson on July 30 in Louisville. "I wanted Williams because he destroyed my dream of fighting Mike Tyson," said Klitschko. "I was very close to doing that and I was disappointed (Tyson lost), but I was also surprised and impressed with Williams' performance." Williams is 32-3 with 27 knockouts, while Klitschko sports a 34-2 mark with 33 KOs. Klitschko's last loss came on June 21, 2003, when a cut above his eye forced the championship bout against Lennox Lewis to be stopped after six rounds.
