Baltimore, MD (My Sportsbook) - Baltimore Orioles pitcher Jason Grimsley has undergone ulnar collateral ligament surgery on his right elbow which will sideline him for much of the 2005 season. The 37-year-old is expected to miss a minimum of six to nine months. Grimsley was acquired by the Orioles from the Kansas City Royals on June 21 and finished 2-4 with a 4.21 ERA in 41 outings with Baltimore. The righthander posted a 5-7 record and a 3.86 ERA over 73 appearances in 2004, the fourth consecutive year that Grimsley has pitched in at least 70 games. A 13-year major league veteran, Grimsley has a 40-54 record and a 4.74 ERA in 511 appearances with Philadelphia, Cleveland, Anaheim, the New York Yankees, Kansas City and Baltimore.
