Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - The Pittsburgh Pirates released righthander pitcher Nelson Figueroa unconditionally Tuesday. Figueroa, who spent parts of the last two seasons with the Pirates, had his contract purchased from Triple-A Nashville in late August. He went 0-3 with a 5.72 ERA in 10 games, including three starts. The 30-year-old hurler has played in 74 career games for Milwaukee, Arizona and Philadelphia. |
