Phoenix, AZ (My Sportsbook) - The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed free agent pitcher Jeff Fassero for the remainder of the 2004 season. The move comes just five days after he was released by the Colorado Rockies. The 41-year-old Fassero had compiled a 3-8 record with a 5.51 ERA in 40 games (12 starts) for Colorado this season. The lefthander owns a career 116-116 record with 25 saves and a 4.09 ERA in 661 lifetime games (235 starts). He has also pitched for the Montreal Expos, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, and St. Louis Cardinals. |
