Toronto Blue Jays Team Report - September 21 ===
(My Sportsbook) - Roy Halladay returns from the disabled list this evening when the Toronto Blue Jays continue their three-game set with the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.
Halladay has been sidelined since July 20 with a strained muscle in his right shoulder and has not pitched since losing to the Texas Rangers back on July 16. For the year, the defending American League Cy Young award winner is just 7-7 with a 4.35 earned run average and has endured two trips to the disabled list.
The 27-year-old righthander, who was 22-7 last season, is 6-3 lifetime against the Yankees with a 3.52 ERA in 17 games - 15 starts.
In the opener of the set on Monday, Gustavo Chacin pitched seven-plus innings of solid ball to pick up a win in his major league debut, as the Blue Jays held on for a 6-3 win.
Chacin (1-0), who was a combined 18-2 between Double-A and Triple-A this season, allowed just three runs on four hits. He struck out two and walked three, tossing 98 pitches with 63 going for a strike.
Russ Adams led off the game with a homer, drove in three runs and threw out Derek Jeter on a grounder to short with the bases loaded to end the game.
Alexis Rios added two RBI for the Blue Jays, who have won three straight.
Miguel Batista recorded the final six outs for his second save of the season.
The Blue Jays are 25-47 away from home.
The Yankees have won 10 of their 14 matchups with the Blue Jays this season, including five of seven in the Bronx.
