=== Arizona Diamondbacks Team Report - September 20 === (My Sportsbook) - Randy Johnson aims to win his third straight start, as the Arizona Diamondbacks begin a three-game series against Colorado Tuesday night at Coors Field. Johnson improved to 14-13 on the season with a 3-2 triumph on Thursday versus the Rockies. He tossed eight innings, allowing five hits and two runs. The Big Unit struck out 11 and in the process surpassed Steve Carlton (4,136) for third place on the all-time list. Johnson has 4,139 strikeouts, with only Nolan Ryan (5,714) and Roger Clemens (4,297). Johnson has been fortunate to log a 3-4 mark over his last eight starts. It could me much worse, as the Diamondbacks have scored a total of 10 runs in those eight outings. The tall lefthander has 12 double-digit strikeout games this year and 203 in his big league career, only 12 shy of Ryan's all-time record. Johnson owns a 14-6 record and a 2.39 ERA in 22 career starts versus the Rockies. With a win Tuesday night, Johnson will have 15 for a ninth season in his career. Arizona has won four of its last six contests. The Diamondbacks lost two of three games at St. Louis over the weekend, but won 3-2 on Sunday. Scott Hairston delivered a two-run single to key a three-run fourth inning, helping Arizona snap a nine-game road losing streak. Mike Gosling (1-0) allowed two runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings of work to earn his first win of the season. He fanned two with three walks for Arizona, which managed just three hits on the day. Chad Tracy ended 1-for-3 with a run scored in the win, while Greg Aquino pitched a perfect ninth to nail down his 13th save of the season. Arizona is 22-53 on the road this season.
