East Rutherford, NJ (My Sportsbook) - New York Giants sack master Michael Strahan is hampered with a strained gluteal muscle, but is expected to play Sunday versus division-rival Washington. Strahan, who is listed as probable, missed practice on Thursday. He only participated in the individual drills. In last Sunday's season-opening loss to Philadelphia, Strahan registered four tackles and one sack. The 12-year pro out of Texas Southern posted an NFL-best 22 1/2 sacks during the 2001 season. He added a team-high 11 sacks in 2002 and 18 last season, boosting his career total to 114 1/2, second in team history behind Lawrence Taylor's 132 1/2. Meanwhile, Giants linebacker Carlos Emmons missed his second consecutive practice with a groin injury. Emmons, who was acquired in the offseason via free agency, is listed as questionable. He had three stops versus Philadelphia, where he spent the previous four seasons.
