Kirkland, WA (My Sportsbook) - Seattle Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander was listed as questionable Wednesday after missing practice due to a bruised right knee. Alexander injured the knee while making a cut during the fourth quarter of Seattle's 21-7 Week 1 win over New Orleans. The Pro Bowl back scored all three touchdowns and ran for 135 yards on 28 carries before leaving. The injury had initially been reported as a sprain, but an MRI exam revealed only a bone bruise. Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren said Alexander could play this week against Tampa Bay or could be out awhile. However, Holmgren did say that the swelling has gone down and Alexander is experiencing less pain. "He is improved, and my hope is he will be able to practice a little bit Thursday, and then a little Friday," said Holmgren. "He feels pretty positive. If he can't practice then we'll go with Mo (Maurice Morris). Alexander, in his fifth season with the Seahawks, has rushed for 4,376 yards and 48 touchdowns. He also has seven career receiving TDs, and is coming off a career-best 1,435 rushing yards in 2003.
