New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - The NFL fined Denver Broncos safety John Lynch $7,500 on Wednesday for a hit on Chiefs receiver Dante Hall in Sunday's game. Lynch drilled the defenseless Hall in the upper body area on a pass play. Officials penalized the Broncos for the hit, ruling that Hall had no chance of catching the ball. The 12-year veteran Lynch signed with Denver for the 2004 season after spending the first 11 years of his career with Tampa Bay. He was an integral part of the Buccaneers' Super Bowl title following the 2002 season. Lynch, a five-time Pro Bowl safety, has 23 career interceptions. He is expected to appeal the fine. Denver won Sunday night's contest, 34-24.
