Nashville, TN (My Sportsbook) - The Tennessee Titans, who lost kicker Joe Nedney for the season due to a hamstring injury, have announced that they will bring Gary Anderson out of retirement for the second time. The situation is a repeat of what happened a year ago. Nedney suffered a torn ACL in the 2003 season-opener against Oakland and Anderson came out of retirement to fill the void. Anderson will take over his reign as the league's oldest player at 45 years of age. He began his career with Pittsburgh and spent 13 seasons as a Steeler. He then played two years in Philadelphia, one in San Francisco and five in Minnesota before coming to Tennessee in 2003. Anderson connected on 27-of-31 field goal attempts last year for the Titans, including a game-winning, 46-yarder over Baltimore in an AFC Wild Card matchup. For his career, Anderson has converted 80.2 percent of his field goals and 99.1 percent of extra points for 2,346 total points, the most in NFL history.
