Turin, Italy (My Sportsbook) - Juventus veteran Alessandro Del Piero has admitted that he still harbors World Cup hopes despite not featuring for Italy since Euro 2008. The 35-year-old fired home two goals in his side's 3-3 Serie A draw against Siena last Sunday and it is believed national team coach Marcello Lippi is taking a keen interest in his form. It is unclear who Lippi wants in his first-choice frontline in South Africa and the Bianconeri legend is looking to squeeze into his plans. "I'm still very hopeful of making the squad. I know that Lippi has not chosen the squad yet so there are still chances for me. I'm really hopeful about it," he said. (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
