Palermo, Italy (My Sportsbook) - Following a successful week in Europe that saw Inter Milan beat Jose Mourinho's former club, Chelsea, Inter returns to Serie A play on Saturday to face Palermo.

Inter won the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 matchup with the Blues, 2-1, at the San Siro before going to Stamford Bridge and coming away with a 1-0 victory that allows them to advance to the quarterfinals of the competition.

Now, the Nerazzurri must turn their attention back to the league, where the club has won just once in its last six games and seen a comfortable lead in the league table shrink to only one point.

Mourinho watched from the stands last Friday as his team slumped to a 3-1 loss at Catania, but he will now return to the bench after serving a three-game ban and he will be hoping that his team can carry over its effort from Wednesday's win.

Palermo enters the weekend in fourth place, one point clear of fifth-placed Juventus, and they had their three-game win streak in league play snapped last time out in a 3-2 loss at Udinese.

However, Palermo has been quite formidable at home this season as they have yet to lose in 14 games at the Renzo Barbera and will be looking to extend that streak against Inter.

AC Milan has already been eliminated from European competition but they have their sites set firmly on catching Inter Milan at the top of the table.

Since losing to Inter in late January, Milan has put together an eight-game unbeaten streak in Serie A that has brought them to within a single point, and if Inter fails to beat Palermo on Saturday, the Rossoneri could take over the top spot with a win on Sunday at home against eighth-placed Napoli.

Roma sits in third place and they entertain an Udinese side that resides in the 16th spot in Serie A, while Juventus must overcome an epic collapse in the Europa League when they visit Sampdoria as Juve lost 4-1 at Fulham on Thursday, leaving the aggregate score at 5-4 to the English side.

Fiorentina sits in the middle of the table and will try to move closer to a European place when they host seventh-placed Genoa, Atalanta and Livorno meet up in a huge relegation six-pointer, Parma visits Bari, Lazio travels to Cagliari with the Rome side just two points above the drop zone, Chievo hosts Catania and Bologna invades Siena.
