=== Baltimore Orioles Team Report - September 8 === (My Sportsbook) - The Baltimore Orioles try to get back on the winning track this evening when they play the middle contest of their three-game series with the Minnesota Twins at Camden Yards. Baltimore will pin its hopes on lefthander Erik Bedard, who is 6-9 on the year with a 4.73 ERA. Bedard earned the win in his last start on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, as he allowed a run on six hits in seven innings. Bedard, who is 2-5 in 11 games at home this season, will be facing the Twins for the first time tonight. In the second game of the set on Tuesday, Michael Cuddyer snapped a tie with a two-run homer in the ninth inning to lead Minnesota to a 3-1 win. David Newhan posted two hits for the Orioles, who lost for just the second time in their last seven games. Jorge Julio (2- 4) surrendered the homer to Cuddyer, then was ejected, as he. threw a pitch that whizzed past the head of the next batter, Augie Ojeda. Baltimore starting pitchers have allowed just five earned runs over the past seven games, a span of 55 2/3 innings. Minnesota has won three of its five matchups with the Orioles this season. Baltimore also holds a 10-8 edge over the Twins since the start of the 2002 campaign.
