Macon, GA (My Sportsbook) - Micah Williams scored 20 points and Tommy Hubbard added 18 to pace East Tennessee State to a 69-64 win over Kennesaw State and into the championship game of the Atlantic Sun tournament. Sheldon Cooley scored 11 for the fifth-seeded Buccaneers (19-14), who will face either Jacksonville or Mercer in Saturday's title contest. ETSU won the championship last year, beating Jacksonville in the final. Markeith Cummings had 23 points for the eighth-seeded Fighting Owls (13-20), who upset top seed Lipscomb in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. Spencer Dixon added 18 points, while LaDaris Green finished with 14 rebounds and seven points in defeat. ETSU was down by 15 in the first half, but held a 31-29 lead at the break. They then shot 15-of-25 from the floor over the final 20 minutes. Kelvin McConnell had a chance to tie the game for the Fighting Owls, but he couldn't covert a free throw after a made layup with 26 seconds left. Justin Tubbs made a pair from the charity stripe for ETSU with 18 seconds to go for a 67-64 margin, and Cummings then missed a three-point try. Williams sealed the victory by making two foul shots with six seconds to go.
