Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - The Pittsburgh Penguins Thursday re-signed forward Tomas Surovy to a multi-year contract. Surovy posted career highs last season in games (47), goals (11), assists (12) and points (23). He tied for third on the Penguins with eight even-strength goals. The 22-year-old also played 30 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and notched 14 goals and 15 assists for Pittsburgh's AHL affiliate. Surovy has 15 goals and 19 helpers in 73 NHL games -- all with the Penguins. Surovy was drafted by the Penguins in the fifth round (120th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Meanwhile, the club also signed free agent defenseman Chris Kelleher. He appeared in 47 games last season with the Krefeld Penguins of the German league, recording five goals and 16 assists. Kelleher was drafted by Pittsburgh in the fifth round (130th overall) of the 1993 Entry Draft.
