Montreal, QC (My Sportsbook) - Team Canada defenseman Ed Jovanovski is expected to miss the remainder of the World Cup of Hockey after suffering a cracked rib and sprained right knee. Jovanovski was injured in Canada's tournament-opening 2-1 win over the United States on Tuesday. After Jovanovski crashed into the American net, U.S. defenseman Eric Weinrich fell on him. Jovanovski didn't record a point in the game for Canada, which is now 2-0 in the tournament after defeating Slovakia, 5-1, on Wednesday night. Canada is already without defensemen Chris Pronger and Rob Blake. |
