Glendale, AZ (My Sportsbook) - The Phoenix Coyotes Monday signed left wing Jason Chimera to a two-year contract and center Mike Rupp to a one-year deal. Chimera was acquired by the Coyotes along with a third-round pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft from Edmonton on June 26 in exchange for a pair of draft choices. In 60 games for the Oilers last season, Chimera tallied four goals and eight assists. Phoenix obtained Rupp and a second-round pick in the 2004 draft from New Jersey on March 5 for center Jan Hrdina. Rupp appeared in 57 combined games last season for the Devils and Coyotes and had six goals and six assists.
