Commack, NY (My Sportsbook) - Two-time defending champion Paradorn Srichaphan survived his quarterfinal match against rising Swede Joachim Johansson on Friday to reach his third straight semifinal at the $380,000 TD Waterhouse Cup -- a final U.S. Open tune-up. The fourth-seeded Srichaphan dropped the first set against the seventh-seeded Johansson before fighting back for a 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 decision on the hardcourts at the Hamlet Golf and Country Club. Up next for the Thai Srichaphan will be ninth-seeded Peruvian Luis Horna, a 6-4, 6-7 (2-7), 6-4 victor against Russian Nikolay Davydenko on Day 5. Srichaphan nailed down his second straight title here a year ago by beating American James Blake in the final. The 2004 Commack titlist will collect $52,000.
