Florham Park, NJ (My Sportsbook) - Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez had an MRI exam Friday on his ailing right knee that revealed a sprained posterior cruciate ligament stemming from Thursday's 19-13 victory against Buffalo. Sanchez hurt himself when he dove for a first down on a broken play in the third quarter. Following the drive, he immediately went to see the trainers, walking to the locker room with a slight limp and failing to return. New York's head coach Rex Ryan addressed his quarterback's health at an afternoon press conference and was optimistic Sanchez would play in Week 14 versus Tampa Bay. "We'll see how he progresses throughout the week. We'll make the decision that is in the best interest of Mark, and then the team second. It's encouraging news," Ryan said. Ryan added that Sanchez will wear a brace to stabilize the knee at least initially. The fifth overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft had completed 7-of-15 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown at the time of his departure. He previously hurt his left knee in last week's triumph over Carolina. With Thursday's win, New York was able to remain in the playoff picture at 6-6.
