=== Taylor on top at suspended Reno-Tahoe Open ===

Reno, NV (My Sportsbook) - Vaughn Taylor carded his second consecutive round of 67 on Friday to hold the lead at the Reno-Tahoe Open as more weather problems have forced the suspension of play for the second straight day.

Taylor's 36-hole total of 10-under-par 134 left him two shots ahead of Scott McCarron, Joe Ogilvie and Hunter Mahan. Those players will have plenty of time to wait to hit another shot with several players slated to return to Montreux Golf and Country Club Saturday morning to complete their second rounds.

After the first round was completed Friday, a weather delay of over three hours backed up play even further. Roland Thatcher, who held the lead after the first round, teed off just before play was called for darkness and stands at six-under par through two holes.

"Weather delays," said Taylor. "Not much you can do."

Taylor got his second round started with a birdie at the par-four third after his second shot stopped within 10 feet of the hole. He then ran home a 16-foot putt for a birdie at the eighth to climb to seven-under around the turn.

The 28-year-old drained a 30-footer for a birdie at the 14th and converted another long putt for a birdie at the 15th. At the par-four 18th, Taylor hit a sand-wedge to within 15 feet and sank the putt to secure the clubhouse lead.

"I played solid," said Taylor, whose best finish on the PGA Tour this year was a tie for fifth at the St. Jude Classic. "Did not hit it too good coming in, but the putter held up."

Ogilvie collected three birdies and a bogey on the front side and picked up back-to-back birdies starting at the par-four 10th to begin a run on the inward half.

He added a birdie at the 13th and holed out from 186 yards with a seven-iron for an eagle at the par-four 15th. Ogilvie then got up and down for a birdie at the par-five 17th to complete a round of 64 and finish at eight-under-par 136.

McCarron played the back side first and tallied three birdies over his first nine holes. He picked up two straight birdies from the third but gave a shot back with a bogey at the eighth.

McCarron closed with a birdie at the ninth to finish two shots off the lead.

"I teed off at 7:00 a.m. today and finished at 7:00 p.m.," said McCarron. "It's difficult to keep concentrated for that long."

Mahan had six birdies and a bogey for a round of 67.

Daniel Chopra, Michael Allen and Olin Brown are in the clubhouse at seven- under-par 137. Ken Duke, Scott Simpson and Garrett Willis follow at six-under- par 138.

Corey Pavin was at minus-six through five holes when play was stopped for the day. Roland Thatcher also checked in at six-under through two holes.

The second round will resume at 10:00 a.m. (et).
