Anaheim, CA (My Sportsbook) - Joe Thornton's goal with 11:11 remaining in the game proved to be the difference, as the San Jose Sharks continued their recent road dominance of the Anaheim Ducks with a 3-2 win at Honda Center.

Thornton and Dany Heatley finished with a goal and an assist apiece for the Sharks, who have won four straight in Anaheim. Ryan Clowe also scored, while Evgeni Nabokov earned the win with 28 saves.

Ryan Whitney and James Wisniewski tallied for Anaheim, which fell to 1-1-0 in the midst of a seven-game homestand. Jonas Hiller allowed three goals on 36 shots to take the loss.

"It's very tough anytime you give up one late like that," said Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf. "Especially against a team like that, where they are accustomed to playing with that lead and how to finish games out."

Corey Perry extended his longest active points streak to 14 games by registering an assist.

With the game tied, 2-2, after two periods, Thornton put the Sharks ahead for good. The team's captain skated up the left side of the ice and rifled a wrist shot into the top corner of the net for the go-ahead score.

"I don't know how I got the puck, but I saw (Heatley) kind of going into the middle and I saw their (defense) kind of back off, and (Heatley) just made a good play and just brought the (defense) to him," Thornton said. "It was just one of those where you shoot and hope it goes in."

Nabokov was peppered with 11 shots over the course of the third period, but the Sharks' netminder was up to the task to preserve the one-goal victory.

After a scoreless first period, Anaheim took the lead with a power play goal from Wisniewski, who fired a slapshot from the point that beat Nabokov 1:20 into the second frame.

Clowe tied the game at the 8:08 mark of the period with a wrist shot from the left point, and Heatley, who registered a hat trick Friday night against Philadelphia, picked up a rebound in front of the net and stuffed it into the net for his league-leading 18th goal of the season at 10:54 -- a power-play marker.

The Ducks tied it with 14 seconds remaining in the second period on a power play goal from Whitney.

Game Notes

The Ducks have lost five of six overall...San Jose leads the season series, 2-0...The Sharks have the most points in the NHL with 36.
