Bologna, Italy (My Sportsbook) - Inter Milan moved eight points clear at the top of the Serie A table on Saturday with a 3-1 win at Bologna.
Diego Milito's opener for Inter in the 22nd minute was canceled out less than one minute later by Marcelo Zalayeta, but Mario Balotelli had Inter back in front before halftime and Esteban Cambiasso added an insurance tally midway through the second half.
Inter now leads second-placed Juventus by eight points, with Juve set to host Udinese on Sunday, while Bologna is 15th and has lost five of its last seven games.
The visitors were threatening from the start, and after a few near misses, they went ahead in the 22nd minute with a corner kick.
The ball was played into the box for Thiago Motta, whose header was off target, but it fell to Lucio and he played the ball into the path of Milito to fire past the goalkeeper.
However, it took less than one minute for the hosts to pull the goal back as Martins Adailton played a long ball over the top for Zalayeta, who split two defenders and beat goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
Dejan Stankovic was extremely unlucky not to put Inter back in front when his shot struck both posts before goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano dove on the loose ball. But poor marking by the Bologna defense from another corner kick allowed Balotelli a free header inside the six-yard box that he easily finished off.
Inter continued to pressure the Bologna net in the second half as Viviano was forced to tip a shot from Milito off the crossbar, while the third goal arrived in the 72nd minute when Cambiasso buried a cross from Milito at the back post.
Parma moved into third place with a 3-2 win over Fiorentina in Saturday's other contest. Alberto Gilardino scored twice for the Viola, but Davide Lanzafame's goal in the 67th minute was the difference.
