Sherron Collins, Marcus Morris and Xavier Henry each netted 12 points for Kansas (3-0), which was coming off a hard-fought, two-point win over Memphis on Tuesday. The Jayhawks shot 56.9 percent from the floor, including 11-for-19 from three-point land in the blowout. Jared Rehmel led Central Arkansas (1-2) with 11 points, as the Bears shot just 25.5 percent from the field en route to dropping two straight since a season-opening win over Hendrix.

Final Score: (4) Kentucky 102, Sam Houston State 92

Lexington, KY (My Sportsbook) - DeMarcus Cousins finished with 27 points and 18 rebounds and No. 4 Kentucky withstood a three-point barrage from Sam Houston State to come away with a 102-92 victory in the first round of the Cancun Challenge. Patrick Patterson had 20 points and nine boards for the Wildcats, who got all their scoring production from the starting five. John Wall, who hit a last-second shot to knock off Miami-Ohio on Monday, chipped in 21 points and six assists, while Eric Bledsoe added 19 points and six helpers in the win. Corey Allmond shot a sensational 11-for-16 from three-point range in a 37-point effort for the Bearkats (2-1), who routed Letourneau and Texas College in their first two games this season.

Final Score: (5) Villanova 69, George Mason 68

San Juan, PR (My Sportsbook) - Isaiah Armwood's first career field goal proved to be the difference, as the freshman's three-pointer with 17.6 seconds remaining in regulation lifted No. 5 Villanova to a 69-68 comeback victory over George Mason in the first round of the Puerto Rico Tip-off. The Wildcats (3-0) trailed by four in the final minute before consecutive three-balls from Maalik Wayns and Armwood stole the victory away from George Mason (2-1), which went 4-for-8 from the foul line down the stretch and failed to get a shot off during its final possession. Scottie Reynolds led 'Nova with 18 points, while Corey Fisher hit 14 free throws to make up for a 1- for-12 effort from the field. Antonio Pena ended with 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Wildcats, who had four players foul out in the win. Ryan Pearson recorded 14 points and eight rebounds for the Patriots, who received 13 points apiece from Cam Long and Andre Cornelius. The youthful Tar Heels (4-0) now have a date with Syracuse in Friday's championship game. Will Graves added 14 points, Marcus Ginyard contributed 13 and Larry Drew added 11 points and eight assists for North Carolina, which used its length to disrupt Ohio State's perimeter shooters. The Buckeyes didn't make a three-pointer until Jon Diebler's trey with just under two minutes left in the first half was the first after nine misses. Evan Turner led all scorers with 23 points and 11 rebounds, but he also committed 10 turnovers. Miscues are still a problem for the new Tar Heel guards, as the winners racked up 19 turnovers.
