LONDON (AP) -Formula One champion Jenson Button admits he has taken a pay cut to join McLaren and team with 2008 winner Lewis Hamilton. Button said on Thursday that he made the move from Brawn GP because he was attracted to the challenge of competing with Hamilton as part of the same team. Button said it would be strange racing against Brawn after spending seven years with the team, which also won the 2009 constructors' title. The team was taken over Monday and will now compete as Mercedes GP. McLaren announced on Friday that it had signed Button to replace Heikki Kovalainen.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press.
