Tallahassee, FL (My Sportsbook) - Seniors Nate Burleson of Nevada and Charlie Rogers of Michigan State were chosen Thursday as finalists for the Biletnikoff Award. Shaun McDonald, a junior from Arizona State, was also named as a finalist for the award, which is given to the top receiver in Division I-A football. The winner will be announced December 12. Burleson has posted 131 catches for 1,558 yards and scored 11 touchdowns for the Wolfpack. Rogers leads the Spartans with 1,287 yards and 13 touchdowns on 63 receptions. McDonald has registered 75 catches for 1,280 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Sun Devils. The award is named after Fred Biletnikoff, who became Florida State's first All- American in football. The NFL Hall of Famer spent 14 seasons with the Oakland Raiders. Josh Reed, a rookie for the Buffalo Bills, won the award in 2001 with LSU.
