Orchard Park, NY (My Sportsbook) - The Buffalo Bills have fired head coach Dick Jauron, team owner Ralph Wilson announced Tuesday. Wilson did not announce an interim replacement for Jauron. Jauron was in his fourth year as head coach of the Bills, who fell to 3-6 after losing to Tennessee, 41-17, on Sunday. Buffalo has never had a winning record under Jauron, as the team went 7-9 in his first three seasons. "I have tremendous respect for Dick and thank him for all of his efforts during these past four years. While this was a very difficult decision, I felt that it is one that needed to be made at this time for the best interest of our team," Wilson said in a statement. Prior to joining the Bills, Jauron spent two seasons with Detroit as defensive coordinator and completed the 2005 campaign as interim head coach. The Lions were 1-4 under Jauron in 2005. Jauron went 35-46 in five seasons as head coach of the Chicago Bears from 1999 through 2003 and was the NFL Coach of the Year in 2001 following a 13-3 finish, the only year in which he has had a winning record as head coach.
