Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - Matt Cooke tallied twice to help the Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the Anaheim Ducks, 5-2, at Mellon Arena.

Bill Guerin, Jordan Staal and Martin Skoula also scored for the Penguins, who hadn't won consecutive games since October 28 and 30. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 23 of 25 shots to record his 11th win of the season.

Todd Marchant and Teemu Selanne provided the goals for the Ducks, who concluded a four-game road swing with a disappointing 0-3-1 mark. Jean- Sebastien Giguere was beaten four times on 25 shots in defeat.

Anaheim center Ryan Getzlaf was held off the scoresheet, snapping an 11-game point streak and a franchise-record 10-game assist streak.

Pittsburgh opened the scoring 1:31 into the contest on Cooke's backhander from the high slot.

The Penguins, who had gone the previous eight games without converting on the power play, took advantage of an Anaheim bench minor for too many men to go up 2-0. Guerin positioned himself in the middle of the ice and one-timed a feed from Sidney Crosby over Giguere's right pad at 5:13 of the first period.

Pittsburgh went back on the power play moments later, but a poor line change allowed Marchant to skate in alone on Fleury and slide a backhander past the goaltender's outstretched left pad at the 9:06 mark.

A misplay by Anaheim with the man advantage resulted in a short-handed marker for Staal at 4:09 of the second period. The former No. 2 overall pick cradled an outlet pass from Deryk Engelland and snapped a wrister earmarked for the top left corner of the net.

Skoula made it 4-1 at 3:28 of third, firing a shot from the point that made its way through heavy traffic and behind Giguere.

Selanne found the back of the net with 2:39 to play before Cooke potted an empty-netter in the waning moments.
