Columbus, OH (My Sportsbook) - Jakub Voracek scored the game-winning goal in the fourth round of the shootout, as the Columbus Blue Jackets edged the
Edmonton Oilers, 3-2, at Nationwide Arena. With the shootout tied, 1-1, after three rounds, Voracek skated towards Edmonton goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin and fired a wrister off the inside of the right post and into the back of the net. It all came down to Gilbert Brule for Edmonton, but his wrister was stopped by Mathieu Garon. Anton Stralman had a goal and an assist for the Blue Jackets, who closed a four-game homestand with a 3-1-0 mark. Antoine Vermette had the other goal for Columbus, which got 23 saves from Garon. Lubomir Visnovsky tallied a goal and an assist for the Oilers, who ended a five-game road trip with a 1-2-2 record. Ales Hemsky also lit the lamp for Edmonton, which got 30 saves from Khabibulin.
