Barcelona, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez is close to extending his stay with the La Liga giants. The 30-year-old Mexico captain, who joined the Catalan outfit from French side Monaco in 2003, has made 227 appearances for the current Champions League holders. He believes that it is simply a matter of finding the time to sign on the dotted line for his protracted contract to be settled. Speaking to AS, he said: "The renewal is very close. It is a matter of finding the time to do so. "This is where I'm making my life now and I feel very comfortable, I do not want to change. I have found happiness and contentment."
