Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - ARIZONA: The Wildcats allowed nine points late in the fourth quarter against California and that led to a 24-16 loss to the Golden Bears. The Wildcats did not do much offensively against Cal, totaling just 274 total yards. Keola Antolin led the ground game for Arizona, but finished with just 78 yards and one score on 19 carries. Nick Foles was not much better under center, as the quarterback completed just 25-of-41 passes for 201 yards and one score. However, Foles also tossed an interception and was sacked three times. The defense did force two turnovers, but Arizona was gashed for 176 rushing yards in the setback. The Wildcats will have to buckle their chin straps for their next matchup, as they will take on the Pac-10 leading Oregon Ducks on Saturday.
ARIZONA STATE: The Sun Devils were clearly no match for Oregon this past weekend, as the Ducks pounded ASU, 44-21. Arizona State struggled with the football, totaling just 211 yards. The Sun Devils rumbled for just 84 yards on a mere 2.2 ypc. Most of the damage was caused by Dimitri Nance, who rushed for 77 yards one score, but on 26 totes. Samson Szakacsy and Brock Osweiler both saw time under center in the contest, but neither quarterback was effective, as Osweiler threw for just 14 yards and one interception. As for Szakacsy, he was slightly better, finishing the game with 113 yards and one touchdown. Arizona State did force two turnovers in the contest, but the defense was pounded by Oregon's ground game, allowing 268 yards and three touchdowns on 6.4 ypc. The Sun Devils will try to snap their four-game slide on Saturday when they take on UCLA on the road.
CALIFORNIA: The Golden Bears were without star tailback Jahvid Best, but that did not stop them from running through Arizona for a 24-16 victory. Shane Vereen led the rushing attack for Cal in Best's absence and soundly gashed the Wildcats for 159 yards and one score, which came late in the final frame. Vereen's play was important because quarterback Kevin Riley was rather inconsistent under center. Riley threw a touchdown in the contest, but finished with just 181 yards and was intercepted twice. Cal was able to limit the Wildcats to just 274 total yards, including just 72 rushing yards on 2.6 ypc. The Golden Bears will now take to the road this weekend to battle Stanford.
OREGON: Coming off a loss to Stanford, the Ducks regained their swagger with a dominating, 44-21 victory over Arizona State this past weekend. James Rodgers hauled in two of the touchdown passes and finished with 46 yards on five receptions. Oregon State did allow three passing touchdowns in the contest, but the defense limited Washington just 274 total yards, including just 153 yards through the air. Oregon State will travel to Pullman this upcoming weekend to take on Washington State.
STANFORD: In one of the biggest surprises this weekend, the Cardinal went to the Coliseum and handed USC a 55-21 whooping. Stanford rushed for 325 yards and five touchdowns in the win, and the majority of the damage was done by Toby Gerhart, who rumbled for 178 yards and three touchdowns. Stepfan Taylor added 62 rushing yards, while Andrew Luck added 61 yards and one touchdown. Luck also threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns in the win. The Cardinal did surrender 334 total yards in the contest, but the defense used four turnovers to its advantage. USC: The Trojans suffered their worst loss since losing to Notre Dame 51-0 back in 1966, when the Cardinal pounded USC this past weekend, 55-21. With the loss, the Trojans are most likely out of contention for the Pac-10 title, snapping a seven-year streak of finishing on top of the league. Joe McKnight rushed for 142 yards and one touchdown on just 16 carries, but Matt Barkley struggled tremendously under center, throwing for 196 yards and one touchdown, but was also intercepted three times. On top of the poor play offensively, the Trojans were gashed by Stanford's ground game, as USC surrendered 325 yards and five scores on 6.5 yards per attempt. The Trojans will get this weekend off, and will hopefully regroup before they take on UCLA on November 28th.

Kevin Lopina entered the game for the ineffective Lobbestael and was slightly better, throwing for 102 yards and one score on 7-of-14 efficiency. The Cougars will host Oregon State this weekend before closing out their season against Washington.
