Madrid, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Atletico Madrid midfielder Jose Manuel Jurado has penned a contract extension to tie him to the Primera Liga club until the summer of 2013. The 23-year-old joined Atletico in the summer of 2006 from city-rivals Real Madrid and spent last season out on loan with Mallorca, scoring four times in 35 league appearances. Having returned to the Vicente Calderon this summer, Jurado has become a first-team regular under Abel Resino and more recently Quique Sanchez Flores. He told reporters: "This is probably my best period at Atletico. "The previous period here was not very good, but now I am more confident and feel more at home here and have more experience."
