Regina, SK (My Sportsbook) - Darian Durant threw for 296 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a 30-14 victory over the Calgary Stampeders and their first West Division title since 1976.

Durant completed 24-of-36 passes for the Riders, who finished their season at 10-7-1 -- the same as Calgary -- but won the division tiebreaker by virtue of head-to-head record (2-0-1).

Saskatchewan, which has actually won two Grey Cup titles since its last division crown, will now receive a bye and a home game in the playoffs. It is the seventh straight year the Roughriders have made the playoffs.

Andy Fantuz had 12 catches for 123 yards for the Riders, and Wes Cates ran for 54 yards on 15 carries. Chris Getzlaf and Rob Bagg each caught a touchdown pass.

Henry Burris threw for 221 yards on 15-of-25 passing for the defending Grey Cup champion Stampeders, who were looking for their second straight division title. These two teams, who played each other in last year's West Division Final, could meet again in the same round of the playoffs should Calgary win its first postseason game against Edmonton.

Joffrey Reynolds ran for 107 yards on 17 carries for the Stampeders, while Jeremaine Copeland made six catches for 95 yards.

Saskatchewan got on the board early, as Durant found Getzlaf from nine yards out for a touchdown five minutes into the game.

Calgary made it 7-1 with a single early in the second quarter, but a 37-yard field goal from Luca Congi and a Roughriders single extended the lead to 11-1 in favor of Saskatchewan.

The Riders made it 18-1 on Durant's 25-yard touchdown pass to Bagg with nine minutes before halftime, but the Stampeders cut into their deficit on Burris' one-yard touchdown run to make it a 10-point game.

Congi's 37-yard field goal in the final seconds of the quarter extended Saskatchewan's margin to 21-8 at the break.

Calgary appeared to get back into the game with two field goals from Sandro DeAngelis -- from 22 and 24 yards -- as the only scoring of the third quarter, but it did not get any closer.

Neither team could score for a majority of the fourth, until Saskatchewan extended its advantage to nine with a safety with just under three minutes to play. Two minutes later, the Riders cemented their win and division title with a one-yard touchdown run from Chris Szarka.

Game Notes

Saskatchewan finished the season 6-3 at home, while Calgary went 4-5 on the road...The Stampeders had been unbeaten (2-0-1) in their last three games...The Riders are 3-1-1 in their last five games.
