Ottawa, ON (My Sportsbook) - David Clarkson and Andy Greene each had a power- play goal early in the third period to lift the New Jersey Devils to a 3-2 win over the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Place.

Zach Parise also netted a power-play score for the Devils, who have won five in a row and eight of nine overall. Martin Brodeur made 19 saves in the victory.

"Our power-play was good tonight," Parise said. "We've been doing some work on it. I was able to come through, but there really wasn't too much panic when we down 2-0. We just needed a little wake up call, and we got going after that."

Milan Michalek and Brian Lee had the goals for Ottawa, which was coming off an overtime win over Tampa Bay but tumbled to its fifth loss in the last seven games. Pascal Leclaire let in all three goals on 25 shots in the setback.

"We've got to be more disciplined. We're taking some penalties we shouldn't be taking at the wrong times of the game," Senators forward Mike Fisher said. "We had a good lead, we were playing pretty well. It just hurts the momentum, you've got to kill penalties. It gives the other team some confidence. We beat ourselves tonight, it's frustrating."

Michalek's wrister with six minutes left in the first put the Senators on the board, and Lee's unassisted tally a little more than halfway through the second made it a 2-0 game.

But Ottawa forward Peter Regin went off for hooking several minutes later, and with 4:25 left in the middle frame Parise beat Leclaire to get New Jersey started.

The Devils trailed by one to start the third but got a power play 3:03 into the period. Clarkson took advantage by netting his fourth of the year at 4:38.

Later, after Ottawa's Chris Neil was given a misconduct penalty and Chris Campoli was called for delaying the game, New Jersey went back on the power play. Greene scored the go-ahead goal at 7:20, and Brodeur stopped all six shots he saw in the period to seal the victory.
