Barcelona, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Pedro scored two first-half goals and Thierry Henry scored his first goal of the season as Barcelona recorded a 4-2 win over Mallorca at the Nou Camp on Saturday.
Pedro's opener in the 11th minute was canceled out by a goal from Nunes nine minutes later, but Barca scored twice in the last five minutes of the half as Pedro notched a second goal and Henry tallied his first of the campaign.
Lionel Messi extended the lead with a penalty kick in the 87th minute, and Mallorca grabbed a late consolation goal through Alhassane Keita.
With the result, Barca remains one point ahead of Real Madrid, while Mallorca is sixth, nine points back of Pep Guardiola's men.
The opening goal came after 11 minutes and it was set up by a magnificent back heel from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who played Pedro into the box for a simple finish.
It took Mallorca nine minutes to respond as a corner kick skipped off the head of a Barca defender in the middle of the box and was nodded home at the back post by Nunes.
Mallorca was playing a very good first half, but things came apart in the last five minutes and they went into halftime down 3-1.
Goalkeeper Dudu Aouate produced three successive saves to deny Pedro, Henry and Sergi Busquets, but Pedro stayed with the play and finally slammed the ball home from close range.
Henry then scored right before halftime when Busquets headed a ball back across the face of goal and the Frenchman got down to nod it home.
The hosts took their foot off the pedal a bit in the second half, but they found a fourth goal when Ibrahimovic was brought down inside the area by Josemi, allowing Messi to send the keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot.
Keita scored two minutes into stoppage time to close the gap, but it wasn't nearly enough as Barca remained unbeaten through the first 10 games of the season.
Real Madrid kept pace with a nervy 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid as Real built a 3-0 lead through 64 minutes with goals from Kaka, Marcelo and Gonzalo Higuain. However, Sergio Ramos was sent off in the 66th minute, and Atletico got two goals in three minutes with Diego Forlan and Sergio Aguero finding the net, only for Real to hold out for the final nine minutes.
Deportivo moved into fourth place with a 2-0 win over Getafe despite having two players sent off, while Malaga rallied from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with Tenerife.
