Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - Adrian McPherson threw for a pair of touchdowns and Damon Duval matched a Montreal record with seven field goals, as the Alouettes came away with a resounding 42-17 win over the Toronto Argonauts in the regular-season finale for both clubs.

McPherson completed 16-of-20 passes for 151 yards for the Alouettes (15-3), who secured the top spot in the East long ago and will host the conference final on November 22.

Stephen Reaves, making his first CFL start, connected on 23-of-40 attempts through the air for 209 yards with four interceptions for the Argonauts (3-15), who ended their dismal campaign on an eight-game skid. Chad Lucas caught seven balls for 92 yards in defeat.

Montreal raced out to a 17-0 lead in the opening quarter.

McPherson threw touchdown passes of nine and 18 yards, respectively, to Brandon Whitaker and Kerry Watkins, with Duval booting an 11-yard field goal in between for the Als.

Justin Medlock drilled a 33-yarder to put Toronto on the board with about four minutes remaining in the first.

Duval made three field goals (48, 17, 26) in the second frame, and Toronto tacked on a single before the end of the half to make it 26-4.

After Medlock and Duval traded kicks, Paul Woldu picked off Reaves and rumbled 72 yards to the end zone with about two minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Jamal Robertson's one-yard touchdown run up the middle trimmed Toronto's deficit to 36-14 heading into the final stanza.

Duval added two more field goals in the fourth, while Medlock was true from 27 yards out.

Game Notes

Duval set a new CFL record for points in a single season with 242...Duval fell one shy of the league record for field goals in a game...McPherson rushed for 55 yards on six carries...Whitaker gained 61 yards on the ground...Toronto committed six turnovers.
