Wolverhampton, England (My Sportsbook) - Two first-half own goals put Wolverhampton well on its way to a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Arsenal on Saturday at Molineux Stadium.
The home side started well but things started to go down hill very quickly as a corner kick was inadvertently redirected into his own net by Ronald Zubar, while seven minutes later, Eduardo's chip struck the head of defender Jody Craddock and found its way into the upper right corner.
Cesc Fabregas added a third goal right before halftime, while the second half saw Andrei Arshavin score Arsenal's fourth goal before Craddock pulled one back a few minutes from time.
With the result, Arsenal moves into second place on goal difference ahead of Manchester United, while the Gunners are just two points back of leaders Chelsea.
Wolverhampton was the better of the two sides through the opening 20 minutes and they could have taken the lead after 10 minutes when Sylvan Ebanks-Blake got open at the back post but headed a corner kick wide.
Arsenal was struggling to really test goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, but a bit of good fortune allowed the visitors to take the lead.
Fabregas swung a corner kick towards the top of the six-yard box, and the ball struck the leg of Zubar and caromed into the back of the net as he was under pressure from Eduardo.
The Croatian was involved again in the 35th minute when Aaron Ramsey burst through midfield and laid a ball off to Eduardo, whose attempted chip deflected off the head of Craddock and found its way into the upper corner of the net.
The visitors then put together a good build up and scored a goal themselves right before halftime as Bacary Sagna's right-wing cross was brought down by Robin van Persie and laid off to Fabregas, who beat Hennessey at his near post.
Hennessey then made a good save on Arshavin midway through the second half, but the ensuing corner kick allowed the Russian to claim his fourth goal of the campaign before Craddock spoiled the clean sheet in the 89th minute.
Tottenham moved into fourth place as goals from Robbie Keane and Tom Huddlestone gave Spurs a 2-0 win over Sunderland, Aston Villa is fifth after pounding Bolton, 5-1, Blackburn scored three times in the second half, including two from Jason Roberts, to beat Portsmouth, 3-1, while Kevin McDonald's goal in the 87th minute capped a wild 3-3 draw between Burnley and Manchester City.
