Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - AKRON: The Zips did very little offensively in their recent loss to Northern Illinois, as the team tallied just 235 yards en route to a 17-point setback. The ground game was bottled up for just 31 yards on 1.3 yards per attempt. Patrick Nicely was not much better in the setback, as the signal caller completed just 11-of-27 passes for only 124 yards, while getting sacked three times. The lone touchdown for the Zips came on an 80-yard pass from Alex Allen to Andre Jones, who finished with six receptions and 154 yards. The Zips will try to return to the win column this upcoming weekend when the Kent State Golden Flashes head to Akron.

BALL STATE: The Cardinals allowed a late fourth quarter touchdown against Ohio and eventually fell to the Bobcats by a 20-17 margin. Despite the loss, the Cardinals had a solid performance on the ground, as the team racked up 169 yards on 38 carries. Eric Williams paced the team with 59 yards and one score, while MiQuale Lewis added 45 yards on 22 totes. Unfortunately Tanner Justice did not have much success under center, as the quarterback completed just 6- of-9 passes for only 78 yards and one score. Justice also tossed an interception and was sacked once. The Cardinals will be idle this upcoming weekend, but the team will try to creep into the win column on November 12th when it battles the Northern Illinois Huskies in DeKalb.

BOWLING GREEN: The Falcons did not play this past Saturday, but the team will be in action Tuesday night when BGSU takes on the Bulls in Buffalo. The last time the Falcons were on the gridiron the team suffered a tough, 24-10 loss to Central Michigan. Despite the setback, Tyler Sheehan and Freddie Barnes continued their sensational seasons. Sheehan threw for 341 yards and one touchdown in the loss, while Barnes hauled in 14 passes for 172 yards and was on the receiving end of the only touchdown for BGSU. The ground game was once again invisible, as the team rumbled for just 20 yards on 20 carries. Cody Basler led the defense with 12 tackles, while Eugene Fells added 10 stops and one sack.

BUFFALO: The Bulls racked up 541 total yards, but that was still not enough for Buffalo to gain a victory over Western Michigan last time out. In the 34-31 overtime loss, the Bulls were led by Ike Nduka on the ground, as the tailback rumbled for 172 yards and three touchdowns on an outstanding 9.6 yards per attempt. Zach Maynard was a tad inconsistent in the setback, as the quarterback threw for 327 yards and one score, but also tossed two interceptions. Brett Hamlin hauled in 10 passes for 146 yards and one score, while Naaman Roosevelt collected eight passes for 63 yards. Justin Winters was all over the field in the loss, racking up 16 tackles, while Sherrod Lott added 10 stops, two TFLs, one forced fumble and one interception. The Bulls did not play this past Saturday, but the team will be in action on Tuesday night against Bowling Green.

CENTRAL MICHIGAN: The Chippewas' seven-game winning streak came to an end with a 31-10 setback to Boston College over the weekend. Central Michigan tallied just 311 total yards, including only 93 rushing yards on 3.0 yards per attempt. Dan LeFevour led the team on the ground, but with only 26 yards. He was a bit more effective with his arm, throwing for 152 yards on 20-of-34 passing. LeFevour was also intercepted once and sacked once. On top of the poor offensive showing, the defense also had a rough outing, especially against the run, as the Chippewas were punished for 150 yards and four scores on 4.5 yards per attempt. The Chippewas will not play on Saturday, but the squad will return to the field on Wednesday, November 11th when the Toledo Rockets come to town.

EASTERN MICHIGAN: The Eagles were no match for Arkansas this past Saturday, as they were pounded by the Razorbacks, 63-27. Offensively the Eagles totaled a mediocre 348 total yards, and the majority of the damage was caused by the passing attack, as Kyle McMahon threw for 231 yards and three scores in the loss. The ground game did not enjoy similar success, as EMU rumbled for just 89 yards on just 3.2 yards per attempt. Dwayne Priest led the way with 66 of those yards and also scored one touchdown in the setback. The defense was embarrassed for 60 minutes, as the unit surrendered 589 total yards in the loss. Arkansas pounded the Eagles for 292 rushing yards, and torched the defense for another 297 yards through the air. Now the Eagles will have to play on short rest, as the team will travel to Toledo and take on the Rockets on November 5th.

KENT STATE: The Golden Flashes collected their third straight win with a 26-14 decision over Western Michigan over the weekend. Spencer Keith overcame his two interceptions by throwing for an outstanding 373 yards and two touchdowns. His main target in the contest was Tyshon Goode, who hauled in 11 catches for 198 yards and two scores. Jacquise Terry did an admirable job on the ground, as the tailback rushed for 90 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries. The Flashes were just as strong defensively, as the team held WMU to just 293 total yards, including only 38 rushing yards on 1.7 yards per attempt. Kent State will try to continue its winning ways when the Flashes take on Akron this upcoming weekend.

MIAMI-OHIO: The RedHawks tasted victory for the first time this season when they defeated Toledo, 31-24, over the weekend. Zac Dysert did it all for Miami-Ohio in the win, as the quarterback threw for 344 yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 60 yards and two more scores. Even though the team was victorious the RedHawks were punished defensively, as the team allowed 444 total yards, including 216 rushing yards and two scores on the ground. The RedHawks will try to make it two in a row when they travel to Philadelphia to take on Temple on November 5th.

NORTHERN ILLINOIS: The Huskies ran right through Akron over the weekend, as NIU rumbled for 275 yards and three scores en route to a 17-point win. Chad Spann did most of the damage, rushing for 125 yards and two scores, while quarterback DeMarcus Grady added 109 yards on 20 attempts. Grady did not do much with his arm however, although he did not have to, as the signal caller threw for just 62 yards on 10-of-18 passing. The defense was just as impressive in the win, as the unit held Akron to just 235 yards, including a mere 31 rushing yards on 1.3 yards per attempt. Northern Illinois will be back on the field Thursday when it hosts Eastern Michigan.

OHIO: The Bobcats scored a late touchdown to claim a come-from-behind victory over Ball State by a 20-17 margin. The offense did not do much in the win, as the team needed four Matt Weller field goals to stay close to Ball State. Theo Scott did very little under center, as the quarterback threw for only 161 yards and one touchdown on 17-of-27 passing. However, Scott also tossed two interceptions and was sacked twice. Fortunately the defense came to play, as Ohio held Ball State to just 247 total yards. The Bobcats will not return to the field until November 10th when they take on the Bulls at Buffalo.

TEMPLE: The Owls grabbed a thrilling, come-from-behind victory over Navy on Saturday, defeating the Midshipmen, 27-24. It was the sixth win of the season for the Owls, who are bowl eligible for the first time since 1990. The six- game win streak is the first for Temple since 1974. Bernard Pierce put the team on his shoulders in the win, rushing for 267 yards and two touchdowns. Pierce now has a school-record 11 touchdowns for a freshman and also is the first player at Temple to post back-to-back 200-yard performances since Paul Palmer achieved the feat in 1986. The Owls will try to continue their terrific play when they host Miami-Ohio on Thursday.

TOLEDO: The Rockets scored three second half touchdowns, but were unable to fight all the way back against Miami-Ohio, as they fell to the RedHawks, 31-24. Aaron Opelt struggled staying on the field for the Rockets, as the signal caller completed just 7-of-14 passes for just 79 yards and one score, but exiting the game due to injury. Austin Dantin threw for 62 yards in the loss, while Alex Pettee threw for 87 yards on 6-of-8 passing. Adonis Thomas led the ground game for Toledo with 107 yards, while DaJuane Collins rumbled for 82 yards and one score on 19 totes. Toledo will try to snap its two-game slide on Wednesday, November 11th when the Rockets battle Central Michigan.

WESTERN MICHIGAN: The Broncos were unable to grab a win over the weekend, as the team was defeated by Kent State, 26-14. The Broncos only posted 293 yards in the loss, and that includes a meager 38 rushing yards on 1.7 yards per attempt. Tim Hiller also had a rough outing, as the quarterback tossed an interception and was sacked four times. However, he did throw for 255 yards and two touchdowns. Robert Arnheim hauled in one of the TD passes and finished the game with seven receptions for 78 yards. Western Michigan will step out of MAC play this upcoming weekend when the Broncos battle Michigan State in East Lansing.
