Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - AIR FORCE: The Falcons scored 14 points in both the first and third quarters on Saturday as they defeated Colorado State on the road in Fort Collins by a score of 34-16. Quarterback Tim Jefferson returned to action and completed 7- of-12 passes for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the academy, while Kyle Halderman scored both on the ground and through the air for the Falcons as they moved to 5-4 on the campaign with their second win in the last three outings. Ranked fourth in the nation in rushing this week, Air Force generated 271 yards on 59 attempts in the meeting. The second portion of the Commander- In-Chief's tournament takes place this weekend as the Falcons host Army, a team that they defeated last season by a score of 16-7. AFA now holds a 29-13-1 advantage in the all-time series as a result.

BYU: The Cougars, who somehow slipped back into the AP's top-25 rankings on Sunday at number 25 even though they were idle last weekend, have to again build up their resume and it starts with their trip to Laramie this coming weekend to take on the Wyoming Cowboys. Last season this relationship paid big dividends for BYU as it completely dominated the Pokes in a 44-0 final in Provo, marking the opening of the Mountain West Conference slate for the Cougars and moving them to a perfect 4-0 at the time. With respect to the all- time series between these two programs, BYU maintains a 42-30-3 edge right now.

COLORADO STATE: The Rams came up with a modest 180 yards rushing on Saturday afternoon, but the passing attack was nowhere to be found as the team bowed to Air Force in conference play by a score of 34-16 at Hughes Stadium. Starting quarterback Grant Stucker hit on a mere 5-of-10 passes for 49 yards and an interception, while Jon Eastman registered a 2-of-9 effort for another 38 yards for a team that has now lost six in a row after opening 2009 with three straight wins over the likes of Colorado, Weber State and Nevada. The Rams hit the road this weekend for the first of back-to-back away games, taking on the UNLV Rebels at Sam Boyd Stadium. Last season CSU picked up a 41-28 win against the Rebels to move to 12-4-1 in the all-time series.

NEW MEXICO: The Lobos scored the first 10 points of the game against San Diego State on Saturday, but even then the group from Albuquerque could not work its way into the win column. Instead, New Mexico had to settle for a 23-20 setback and its 12th in a row dating back to last season. Donovan Porterie hit on 27- of-52 passes for 277 yards and a score, not to mention a one-yards TD run in the second quarter. UNM now has the distinction of riding the second-longest losing streak in the nation at the moment, four games behind a Western Kentucky squad that has dropped 16 in a row. The Lobos, who destroyed San Diego State last season by a score of 70-7 for their last overall victory, play the second of back-to-back road games this weekend as they head to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Utes at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Last season UNM almost upset a top-10 Utah squad before falling in a 13-10 final at home, the second loss in what was to become a four-game slide to close out the final campaign under head coach Rocky Long. Utah leads the series by a count of 31-17-2.

SAN DIEGO STATE: Ryan Lindley threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns as he led the San Diego State Aztecs to a narrow 23-20 win over the New Mexico Lobos in Mountain West Conference play at Qualcomm Stadium on Saturday evening. Lindley, who now has 12 touchdown passes in the last three outings, converted 22-of-38 passes for the Aztecs as they won their second straight and the third in the last four outings. Wideout DeMarco Sampson had another seven catches for 56 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Aztecs which means he now has seven TD grabs in his last three games. The Aztecs play the second of three straight home games this coming weekend as they confront the mighty TCU Horned Frogs at Qualcomm Stadium. Last season the Frogs dominated SDSU in a 41-7 decision, leaving the Aztecs winless in four all-time meetings between the programs.

TCU: The Horned Frogs were on top of their game on Saturday afternoon, not only limiting the visiting UNLV Rebels to just 160 yards of offense, but also coming up with 578 yards of their own in the 41-0 onslaught in Fort Worth. Andy Dalton continued his strong play by completing 12-of-21 passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns. In the last three games against teams such as UNLV, BYU and Colorado State, the Frogs have allowed a combined 13 points, which is why the school is now ranked first in the MWC and third in the nation with just 11.1 ppg permitted at this point in the season. The Horned Frogs, now sixth in the most recent AP Poll, head to Southern California this coming weekend to do battle with the San Diego State Aztecs in MWC action. A year ago TCU posted a 41-7 victory at home in Fort Worth, a week after the team was demoralized by second-ranked Oklahoma in Norman, 35-10. TCU now leads the all- time series by a count of 4-0.

UNLV: The Rebels showed very little fight on either side of the ball on Saturday afternoon as the team was trampled by eighth-ranked TCU, 41-0, in Fort Worth. UNLV logged a mere seven first downs and a total of only 160 yards of offense against one of the toughest defenses in all of college football. Mike Clausen, who completed as many passes to the Rebels (one) as he did the Horned Frogs, was tops on the ground for the team with his 65 yards on seven attempts. Ryan Wolfe reeled in five balls for 25 yards as the Rebels fell for the fifth time in six games. The Rebels get back home this coming weekend in order to entertain the Colorado State Rams in conference play. Last season the Rams posted a 41-28 victory, which means UNLV now trails in the all-time series by a count of 12-4-1.

UTAH: Terrance Cain seemed to be having trouble getting the Utes offense moving on Saturday, so in the second half he was replaced by freshman Jordan Wynn and that move helped to spawn a 22-10 win for Utah at home over Wyoming. Wynn completed 9-of-14 passes for 82 yards and a touchdown, while Cain tossed in another 121 yards through the air. Eddie Wide, carried the ball 24 times for the home team and accounted for a team-best 135 yards and a touchdown as a result. The defense for the Utes limited the Pokes to a mere 202 yards of total offense, 51 of those on the ground on 25 attempts. The last of three straight conference visitors hit Rice-Eccles Stadium this weekend when New Mexico makes an appearance. The Lobos fell in a 13-10 decision last year allowing Utah, which is now 17th in the latest AP Poll, to move out to a 31-17-2 advantage in the all-time series.

WYOMING: The Cowboys threw a bit of a scare into nationally-ranked Utah on Saturday night, scoring the first points of the game and then leading by a 10-3 score at the break, but in the end the better team prevailed in a 22-10 victory for the Utes at home. Austyn Carta-Samuels, who scored a touchdown on a 30-yard pass from Robert Benjamin in the second quarter, finished the outing 19-of-30 for 121 yards, but he was picked off once and sacked a total of five times. Because of all those takedowns behind the line of scrimmage, Wyoming managed to produce a mere 51 yards rushing on 25 attempts. Back at home this week, the Cowboys host BYU, one of the two MWC programs that held Wyoming scoreless a season ago (44-0). With that decision the Cougars moved to 42-30-3 in the all-time series versus the Cowboys.
