Boise, ID (My Sportsbook) - Kellen Moore threw for 278 yards and three touchdowns, leading sixth-ranked Boise State in a 45-7 rout of San Jose State and the 23rd consecutive home victory for the Broncos.

Moore completed 21-of-33 passes for the Broncos (8-0, 3-0 WAC), who have the second-longest active home winning streak in the country (Oklahoma) and are one of the remaining seven unbeaten teams in the FBS.

Kirby Moore caught four passes for 80 yards and a touchdown, while Austin Pettis added five receptions for 63 yards and a score. Mitch Burroughs also had a TD reception, and Doug Martin led the rushing attack with 63 yards and a touchdown on six carries.

"We have a lot of guys that can make plays," Kellen Moore said. "Every week it seems like we have a couple different guys coming in and out and making plays."

Jordan La Secla went only 10-of-20 passing for 79 yards with a TD and an interception for San Jose State (1-6, 0-3), which has lost three straight games and has never beaten Boise State in 10 tries. Kevin Jurovich had six catches for 69 yards in the loss.

Boise State scored the game's first points on its second possession, as Kellen Moore threw a 61-yard touchdown pass to brother Kirby Moore to finish a five- play, 75-yard drive five minutes into the game.

"When that happened on the sideline, I think everyone just had a smile on their face. It's so hard to play Division I football, and then to be able to do that with your brother is something that is really special," Boise State head coach Chris Petersen said. "I just think that that's a special thing to play college football with your brother, and when you hook up for a big play like that, and hopefully there'll be many more down the road."

San Jose State, though, remained close and had an answer early in the second on Marquis Avery's 11-yard touchdown reception. La Secla drove the team 77 yards in 11 plays and converted three third downs on the series, including the final play.

Kyle Brotzman responded for the Broncos with a 32-yard field goal, and two touchdowns by Boise State in the final minute of the first half put some separation between the two teams.

The Broncos received a punt at the Spartans' 45 with 1:35 left and needed a minute to score. Kellen Moore accounted for all 45 yards through four pass completions, with the last being to Burroughs for an 18-yard score.

On the next offensive play, Lamon Muldrow fumbled the ball away, giving BSU the ball at the opposing 22 with 35 seconds left. On 3rd-and-10, Kellen Moore threw a 21-yard pass to Tyler Shoemaker, and the quarterback ran it in on the following play for a 24-7 halftime lead.

Boise State then took total control of the game in the third quarter, scoring two more touchdowns in a span of less than a minute. On the Broncos' first second-half possession, Kellen Moore drove the team 62 yards in eight plays, hitting Pettis for an eight-yard score.

On the second play of the ensuing Spartans series, La Secla was intercepted by Kyle Wilson, who ran the ball back 27 yards for a touchdown and a 38-7 advantage.

Martin's 36-yard rushing touchdown for Boise State with 20 seconds left in the game accounted for the final margin.

Game Notes
