Paisley, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - St. Mirren striker Tom Brighton will miss the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury during the 3-3 draw with Motherwell on Saturday. The 25-year-old has been plagued by injuries since joining the Buddies and has now sustained snapped cruciate and medial ligaments in his left knee. He told the Scottish Sun: "It's still sinking in just what's happened, but to be honest I kind of knew right away. "The toughest thing is last season I never got started because of small niggles. I worked my tail off in the summer and got myself back in decent condition and had been involved more. "I've had the scan, which wasn't good news and now I see the surgeon next week."
